Instead of just telling learners what to do, we teach them the concepts behind the strategies. In other words, we teach them the “why”. We start by illustrating training concepts (the big picture) through analogies and common examples. Then, we apply our recommended strategies to those concepts in fun and interactive ways. OFFICE ENVIRONMENT SKILLS TRAINING

As the labor market becomes increasingly global and competitive, people need more than the skills to "just get a job". They need training that empowers them to understand and thrive in the office environment. Office Environment Skills refers to those “written and unwritten rules of engagement" that define success in the professional environment. Some of these skills are learned through formal training, yet many of the “rules” of professional culture are learned informally. Those who learn such skills, either through informal networks or by trial and error, often have successful career experiences, while those who do not learn them often suffer career stagnation.

 

The Office Environment Skills Training program is composed of training sessions that collectively provide the learner with a comprehensive and holistic understanding of the career development lifecycle.

 

The Office Environment Skills training program is approximately six to eight program hours in length (based upon the selected training scope) and can be presented in the following formats:

 

  • 60-minute training sessions
  • 90-minute training sessions 
  • A day-long intensive training program (recommended primarily for adult learners)

Each training session includes a set of concepts that are trained and illustrated through a variety of interactive presentations, student exercises, scenario activities and practical case studies. PERSONAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT TRAINING

Everyday, people are bombarded with messages and images that are related to either spending money or making money. Seldom, if ever, do we receive messages and images that are related to managing the money that we have.

Unfortunately, most contemporary financial management programs focus on saving and investment strategies, which are only minor portions of the comprehensive training that people need to adequately manage their finances. Through the Personal Financial Management Training program, participants will learn all of the skills and strategies that are needed to manage all day-to-day financial activities.

PRESENTATIONS AND DISCUSSION LEADING

Civic Empowerment understands that learning needs can be diverse. While some may need detailed, comprehensive training solutions, others may only require abbreviated training presentations, or may prefer discussion sessions, in which specific questions about personal finance and office environment dynamics can be addressed.

To accommodate diverse learning needs, Civic Empowerment is available to conduct presentations of varying lengths and to lead discussions on specific aspects of our training curriculum.
